PDFium is an Chrome’s open-source PDF rendering engine,  is BSD-licensed and bases on Foxit‘s source code and v8 JavaScript engine.

btw, before open source PDFium, Chrome use a pdf plugin developed by Foxit.

Another famous open source PDF library, MuPDF also support to integrate with  v8 JavaScript engine.
